As the Parts Person, you play an integral role in selling parts which includes determining parts requirements with customers and technicians, selling parts, expediting and providing order processing services.

Position Outline

    • Customer and service department (shop and field) parts sales
    • Process parts orders prompting and accurately
    • Customer and service department parts purchasing/requisitioning
    • Preparation of parts quotes
    • Delivery and pick up of parts to and from service technicians expediently and efficiently
    • Process parts returned from work orders and customers in a timely manner. Ensure no-stock items are returned to suppliers with in manufacturers specified time period.
    • Telephone selling, inbound and outbound
    • Report customer satisfaction, trends and other useful information to Parts supervisor
    • Promote positive image of company and its product lines
    • Attain short and long term objectives as set out by Parts
    • Operate within company policies, procedures and safety
    • Build rapport and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally
    • Streamline processes and make recommendation for new processes
    • Collaborate with freight and courier services to ensure efficient delivery of parts

Experience Required:

  • Proficient knowledge of equipment systems and repairs
  • Superior customer relations skills
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Good communications skills
  • Good computer and systems knowledge
  • Strong technical background and capable of communicating with technicians and customers regarding parts and service
  • Red Seal certification in Parts/Warehousing

Education Required:

  • Certification in Parts / Warehousing
